6月21日，Moderna獲得美國國防部(U.S. Department of Defense,DOD)購買兩億劑的新冠疫苗合約，根據合約，總金額為33億美元，每一劑約16.5美元，約460台幣。

從去年八月到現在，美國已經給了Moderna約84.4億美元的採購合約， 這個金額不含去年美國政府對Moderna的直接投資。截至 6 月中旬，Moderna 公司已向美國交付了 2.17 億劑疫苗。Moderna 表示，根據其最新合約，政府可能會採購其他研發中的COVID-19 候選疫苗，即加強注射疫苗。預計，公司將在第四季度在出貨1.1 億劑疫苗，以及 2022 年第一季度出貨 9,000 萬劑。

Moderna不斷在美國本土增加產能，預計今年2021年生產8億劑，2022年30億劑疫苗。

根據預估，美國新冠疫苗庫存現在大約有5億劑。

合約: ModernaTX Inc.,* Cambridge, Massachusetts, was awarded a $3,300,000,000 modification (P00007) to contract W911QY-20-C-0100 for 200 million filled drug production doses of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-1273 Moderna vaccine. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2022. Fiscal 2010 research, development, test and evaluation (Army) funds in the amount of $3,300,000,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity. (Awarded June 15, 2021)

Moderna疫苗全球緊急使用核准: 包括台灣

On December 18, 2020, the U.S. FDA authorized the emergency use of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine in individuals 18 years of age or older. Moderna has received emergency (or other conditional, interim or provisional) authorization for use of its COVID-19 vaccine in adults from health agencies in Canada, Israel, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Singapore, Qatar, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Paraguay, Japan, South Korea, Botswana and an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) from the World Health Organization (WHO).
